Happy Halloween!

This was my first Halloween in America.

There were many people wearing strange costumes on the streets!

It's a pity that we didn't go to the west Hollywood Halloween Carnival. Instead, we visit an activity northeastern part outside campus. When I was about to cross the road, someone asked me to turn my head and I saw the ugly ghost! Ha, it's so funny! They also asked if we were from Taiwan! Later, I took a pic with him. The most common character is the Clown in Batman-The Dark Knight, while there is no Batman all night.







However, we didn't play Pumpkin carving tonight. When I saw the pics of pumpkin carved by Mark, I envied him! I want to play pumpkin carving next year!






By the way, I practiced driving this morning. The accelerator of the coach's car was so loose that I often push too much! In this way he had a reason to blame me!! So motorcycle.

Hope I can pass the driver's exam quickly.

A single day apart seems like three years

My time goes very fast! I mean, what happened two days ago seemed to be very far from now on. I kind of worry about the relationship with people who I dont contact for more than two weeks. I might consider that are we still good friends? I feel strange. However, after talking for a while, I feel like before. Indeed, I know the true relationship.



I went to Lyon Center for the first time. But I was forbidden entering the building or I had to pay $10 because I didn't sign up the waive form on-line. I had no choice but barrow someone eles's uscard.



There are two kinds of squash ball, squash and racquetball

The speed of Racquetball is much faster and the elaticity is bettert than those Squash. Also the room for Racquetball is larger.



I have learned three kinds of squash.

One is for a kind of vegetable, such as Taiwan squash, which is $3.5/EA expensive. The other is for a kind of juice, which tasts bad. Another is the Squash ball.







In UV, Korean BBQ

Originally, i wanted to order 10. Beef and chicken and vegetables, which is equivallent to 6 meals. XD

1 beef 2 beef and vegetables 3 chickens

8 beef and chicken 9 vegetables

Finally, I ordered Kim chi soup or 泡菜豆腐煲, $8.00

which is not as good as 大腸臭臭鍋XD

Ken ordered Special kim chi fried rice, with free soda

The boss gave me a free coke because she said only one drink is strange for two people. Ha.

我的泡菜很多 就問學弟要不要吃

The boss watched and then treated him free kim chi, whihc is worth 50cents.

學弟點的炒飯有雞肉跟牛肉兩種，我挾了他的雞肉來吃

I think the chicken is better than my tofu soup, which has only one piece of beef. =.=

學弟就說 老闆會不會再請我吃一盤肉XD

哈 還不錯 這家老闆有人情味





After that, we went to the Galen center to watch the women's volleyball game, USC vs Stanford.

American are so high that they will dance or do something funny when they are caught by the photographer!

James 搶到兩件t-shirt! He is so lucky!

就丟在他旁滿，讓我跟詠晴賺到USC T-shirt! Because the size is M. ha!

By the way, we are on TV for twice!

But I only have the video taken by myself.

Maybe people in Taiwan can see me on ESPN XD

I try to catch the game by my fs520 in video mode.

However, it's so hard that I felt tired and quitted after 1m30sec XD

First midterms in USC finished

I take my first midterm, Random Process, in Zumberge Hall of Science, which is a very strange building.

At the first glance I felt lost when i got into the buiding.

It's a litte like the Physics Building of NTHU. XD

於是我馬上退出去，然後照著教授建議的門，找到考試的教室XD 哈 我怕遲到



I went to Parkside, which is a buffet on campus, with Fred. The cost is $8, $10 and $12 for morning, noon, and evening, respectively. The beef steak, sweet and sour chicken, and pizza taste delicious. Everything else is bad, especiallly, dessert. All dessert suck! Ice cream, blueberry pie, Brownie. 這個Brownie 一切就碎掉了XD 有夠扯。



After taking three midterms here, I think that exam questions are much easier than what I have taken in NTHU. They emphasize understanding of class materials. Problems hard to prove will not appear in a 80-minute exam. As a result, I feel no pressure anymore!





騎腳踏車回家的時候，在路上等紅綠燈，

突然頭被一種東西滴到......

竟然是松樹的脂...還好不是鳥大便XD

那一瞬間我在心裡罵了美國的烏鴉....

松脂有一種香味 但是超黏的XD

就像用了超強的髮彫.....害我洗了三次頭><

I learn to laugh, even I dont want to laugh.

It's two thirty in the morning, but I cannot fall asleep.





It has been a long time that I feel nervous under the pressure from midterm that is so heavy that my heart is beatting fast and my breath is getting tough. Maybe this is because of the first Midterm I have in USC. However, there are still two days from it! Oh my dear lord!





I kind of look at a stranger in the mirror. What's wrong with me? I don't study hard enough as before, I am not careful as before, I cannot look at the bright side. I kind of lost my confidence and composure, which were built up from diligence and persistence. What I hate the most is that the materials are easy, which I should handle easily.



Now, even the 三杯雞 I cooked is terrible! By the way, I found that not only potato, but also ginger germinates.XD





I have to spend more time studying, which is obvious the thing I am good at and familiar with and is not whimsical and mecurial.





I decided to avoid attendence of the DEN classes in these two weeks. I dont want to make stupid mistakes again as I did in my homeworks.





I learn to laugh, even I dont want to laugh.





P.S. 這時候隔壁的還不睡一直講電話還是什麼的，是怎樣，真的很靠盃，就不要過來怪我在半夜唱歌，都三點半多了...機車

English is important

I worked hard on my homework and I saw the sunrise for the first time. This is because I did not do my homework until the last minute. At the same time, it had rained for the first time since i came to Los Angeles, although it seemed like no rain at all. I hate that I am lazy and not active as I was before. To sum up, I need a regular, not good, habit of studying and sleeping.



In LAB meeting, the professor will talk about what he has done in last week and what he heard in the quantum group meeting of CalTech. This is much different from my impression in Taiwan. I believe I come to a correct place, although I still cannot understand what the professor is talking about, especially his jokes that everyone, except me, is laughing at. I try.



The shopping habit is different from Taiwan. I have to take things out from the basket and put the basket on the ground before I pay. However, I give the basket with things to the cashier directly in Taiwan. By the way, I learn to waste the plastic bags in USA.



I find that I can watch the NBA games of LA Lakers and LA Clipper on TV directly, which is very good news. I hope one day I can go to Staple Center and watch Lakers vs Rocket!



I can cook 蛋包飯, 三杯雞, 牛肉麵 and so on. I find how to make delicious sliced egg with milk! Next time I will show it.
